How To Treflip

The tre flip, or 360 flip, is a visually impressive trick that combines a 360 shove-it with a kickflip. It’s a staple for many skaters and can really elevate your skill set. Here’s how to nail it:

  1. Foot Positioning: Start rolling at a comfortable speed. Place your back foot on the tail, similar to a shove-it, and position your front foot across the board, angled towards the nose.

  2. Crouch Down: Bend your knees to prepare for the jump. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your weight centered over the board.

  3. Pop and Scoop: As you jump, pop the tail of the board down firmly with your back foot while simultaneously scooping it in the direction you want the board to spin. This is crucial for initiating the 360-degree rotation.

  4. Drag and Flick: As the board starts to spin, drag your front foot up towards the nose. When you reach the top, flick your toes off the side to add the kickflip rotation.

  5. Watch the Board: Keep your eyes on the board as it spins and flips. This helps you time your landing.

  6. Land and Roll Away: As the board comes back around, catch it with your feet and prepare to land. Bend your knees to absorb the impact, and aim to land over the bolts for stability.

With practice, the tre flip will become a highlight of your trick repertoire, showcasing your style and skill. Keep pushing yourself, and soon you’ll be landing tre flips with confidence!
